WHAT IS DIGITAL MOTION X-RAY?
DIGITAL MOTION X-RAY is a diagnostic test that
records real time, full motion x-ray imaging of any body joint in
motion. It records at a rate of 30 frames per second. Each study
is recorded on DVD and VHS and can be played
back in real time, slow motion or freeze frame. With Picture-in-Picture
technology, you can watch the patient externally while seeing what
is going on internally. In as little as 15 minutes, Digital Motion
X-Ray (DMX) may reveal permanent ligamentous injury commonly missed
by other diagnostic procedures. Digital Motion X-Ray (DMX) is the
best diagnostic imaging tool to objectively demonstrate ligament
instability, soft tissue injuries and intersegmental joint dysfunction.
At Insight Digital Motion X-Ray, each study is performed by a licensed
practitioner and subsequently read by a board certified radiologist.
IS DIGITAL MOTION X-RAY NEW?
No. Developed by Dr. Roentgen in 1885, X-Ray is
the oldest and most accepted diagnostic tool
known to physicians. Thomas Edison developed fluoroscopy a year later
in 1896. Digital Motion X-Ray is simply a new type of fluoroscopy
that is coupled with new digital and optic technology. Unlike standard
fluoroscopy used in hospitals where the machine is moved around the
injured area, Digital Motion X-Rays allows the injured area to MOVE
while being scanned.
HOW CAN I USE THIS TEST IN COURT?
Each study includes a pathology report and biomechanical
report using digitization. Overlaying the Radiologist's report on
top of the Digital Motion X-Ray identifies and labels exactly where
permanent soft tissue damage has occurred and the severity of the
injury. Attorneys must show proof of injury in order for their client
to receive the compensation they deserve. Before Digital Motion X-Ray,
many attorneys settled for a much lesser amount because it was hard
to prove ligament damage with static x-ray, MRI and CT. But now,
with demonstrable evidence of the patient’s permanent injury,
attorneys are receiving policy limits, and sometimes even more, for
their client’s settlements.
**Additional Services
For an additional fee, 8 ½ x
11 Still Images including labeled overlays indicating the injured
areas with ligamentous tears can be produced. This makes it simple
for the untrained eye to see the obvious.
